Yep, I'm at it again. Ever since I got my hands on the L.J. Smith novels, I've been reading online fiction like a deranged bookworm (I say this with pride now).

While rereading the Night World series, I realized that L.J.Smith and Stephanie Meyer's books have a lot in common (over-dramatic teenagers, supernatural-slightly-overused themes, highly Americanized setting), which is rather surprising, because I detest Twilight with a passion, but loved the Night World series ever since I was nine years old (Uh huh, I was reading that kind of book when I was nine, and people wonder why I turned into the fangirl that I am today, pshah).

Perhaps if I had read Twilight when I was younger, I wouldn't hate it as much as I do now. It'd probably be one of my favourite books, right alongside L.J. Smith's collection. But since I read it during my 20's, I can't bring myself to like it. And as far as reading the Night World books go, the nostalgia and jail-baits keeps me reading, even if it no longer entertained me as much it had before. I love the names she gave to her male characters - especially Theorn (Thierry) *curdles like bad milk*.

I suggest for anyone and everyone to check out the SKOW awards website. The majority of the stories in their nomination/winners list are must reads. And all of my original fiction recommendations can be linked via there as well XD. They're just sooooooo good <333

Well! School has started. I was reintroduced to the wonders of university life, and reminded repeatedly that yes, my degree lasts five years. Much love to all of you who are graduating this year or the next, and rubbing the aforementioned fact in my face. I will be seeing your children (and maybe your children's children if I live long enough) in the classroom, so watch it.

It feels strange, since I'm taking some first year subjects again. Japanese is fun, but a bit of a mind freeze during tute (Philippu-sensei is on a permanent high). Greek history is awfully interesting, but the auditorium is often packed to the brim (dear Tom saved me a seat, but I had to climb over two rows of seats to get to him >.> see short skirt, below). English is fun; but is on the opposite end of the campus, and usually takes place in immediate succession after my other classes. I try to make up for the beginning portion of the class with the audio recording, but there is an odd echo, and Bill's voice fades in and out constantly.

Yay. Welcome back. I missed this so much.

We do get a new law building, in which I make sure that I'm often in. It's nice to take advantage of something before fiendfire spreads and everyone begins to flock over.

And the wind yesterday was horrible. I made the mistake of wearing a short skirt. Probably flashed everyone within a ten metre radius. And I don't know which is more embarrassing, being laughed at or being wolf-whistled at. Should I feel pleased that my toosh is being appreciated? Let's just say that I won't be seen in short skirt for awhile. SHORTS all the way~

It's probably because I got into PI MIT/ THE CLUE COLLECTOR [ 霹靂MIT ]. The storyline is not genius material, but I like the character interactions and the opening song is nice <3  (albeit weirdly named). Perhaps this is my hormones making a comeback, because ever seen I relegated Kattun and YamaPi  *STABS TEH VOODOO DOLLS* to a healthy scratch, I've been going coldturkey with respect to Azian guys. 

The character that Aaron Yan plays is pretty much a human popsicle through and through (but then again, that might be a good thing; during the first episode in a scene for which he bestowed his audience with a smile, a certain someone had mistakened him for a girl, ahem). I also like his hair - it's shorter than the hair that most idols wear nowadays, but not too short for it to look ruffian like. And he's older than me <3

Of course, Elisa-chan wishes to ask Suni-chan if she has any dirt on aforementioned popsicle. Just in case. Like if there's any kids under his belt, if he smokes, drinks or is gay. Or if he ever takes part in posing for X-rated magazines or something equally disgusting. I have started quite a few stories (written, as in inked on paper). None of them have been published, as it would seem that your "start 9 stories and finish none" trait was inherited from me. Well done, you make me so proud *tear*. I shall make an account on Fictionpress soon (soon being a very flexible term, of course) and hopefully post up one of my stories. 

Loved the soundtrack of Millionair's first love. I didn't really watch the movie properly though, since I knew I was going to cry afterwards. 

The journal layout is cute XD. It's one of those predesigns that you can choose from livejournal's edit journal page. There's other animals as well, but I chose the elephants since I liked the colouration <3. I do want to design my own layout though ~ maybe sometime during the holidays ~ maybe from scratch! Or I could try manipulate some of my old stuff with photoshop, but it's just no good without a tablet or Pastel *pout*

I was seriously into Maplestory at the beginning of this year, but decided to quit after the first month into uni. Went to apply for First Aid today. All the spots were taken, so I'll have to wait til March if I want the certificate to be internationally accepted.

I have a habit of starting stories then abandoning them (i.e my Harry Potter fanfic); I'm not sure whether it was because of the 6th and 7th book, or because it got plaigirized - which was in itself, rather strange. Because reading back, my story seriously tested my gag factor. What CRACK was I on that possessed me to write that sh*t (well...I was ten at the time)? 

I'm stooped to see so many people that remained on my story's alert list. But bad news, I think I'm going to have to abandon my Fanfiction account. Partially because I am no longer as interested in publishing fanfiction. Harry Potter was what first got me into it, and it turns out, the one that got me out. The other reason that I'm abandoning fanfiction is because I can't get into my account. None of my passwords or usernames work, and the retrieve password action isn't working either. But the account is definitely stil alive and kicking, since I'm still getting messages from my readers.

It's been awhile since my last post, ne?

Let's see~

I haven't really been doing anything exciting for the past few weeks. School, family, friends - nothing much has changed; as far as I'm aware of. It's one of those times when you'd do nothing more then sit on your bed and blankly stare at the ceiling. You wait for change rather then initiate change yourself.

I think I'm gaining fat because of this.

On the other hand, I've been getting my hands on a nice set of NDS games recently. Some of them are only so-so, but then there are the few that are seriously keeping me up at night~

1. Phoenix Wright/Apollo Justice [Capcom] - one of my absolute faves. Although the gameplay gets tedious after awhile (my wrist still hurts from tapping so much) and the plot is a tad bit linear (react to the evidence, DAMMIT!), each case is woven with so much detail that you cannot help but get pulled into the storyline. Phoenix "phoenie" *blushes* is absolutely adorable (although, if he existed in real life, I'd be seriously tempted to chop those hair-horns off). Actually, all of the characters in Phoenix Wright are downright lovable. Yes. Even the criminals.

This game is pretty thought provoking, and requires a bit of noggin work, but once you get into it, there's really no turning back.

2. Rune Factory 1/Harvest Moon DS Cute [Natsume] - blurgh. These game seriously tested my patience, and I have since left it to collect dust. Harvest Moon DS Cute was like all the past Harvest Moon games, and the new features provided by the DS didn't really increase its appeal. Rune Factory had looked promising to begin with, but just like Harvest Moon, grows repetitive and dullsome with time.

Apparently, Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness and Rune Factory 2 is coming out sometime in the next two months.

3. Hiiro no Kakera [Idea Factory] - this DS otome game came out awhile ago, but the original is actually a PS2 game. There's also 2 others in the HNK series (not including the DS version), with the 2nd sequel being released sometime in the very near future (or has it been released already?). The DS game is based on the first PS2 game.

It's completely in Japanese, with text largely dominated by Kanji. I was sweating bucketloads because I couldn't get past the Start screen.

So why am I playing it? I hear you ask.

I actually fell in love with the songs from the PS2 game. The artist responsible for most of the theme songs from all three games of Hiiro no Kakera is called Fujita Maiko. Fujita-san has a beautiful voice. I've been tirelessly scrounging for her albums, but I can't seem to find them anywhere. So what did I do? I downloaded fan-made HNK clips from Youtube (but I'm still missing the majority of her songs). I absolutely adore Mizufuusenn (OP for HNK2) and 運命の人と (OP for HNK3). The 運命の人と clip has stupid character voiceovers which I can't get rid off. If anyone has this song in its clean form, please gimme arigatouyasu *winks*. 

So although I don't really understand HNK, I have heard that it has a intensive plot, well developed characters, and great graphics.
